Welcome to my zone 9 garden. My roots are deeply planted in the sandy soil of sub-tropical central Florida, where the summers are long and hot, but the rest of the year is paradise!

Garden Blogger's Bloom Day

Here's what's blooming in my April garden:

A pass-along daylily from my step-father

Society garlic and knock-out roses

A hula girl hibiscus from my mother's garden

and, the best for last, lots of knock-out (so appropriately named) roses.

Hi Susan, I like that combo of the knockout and the society garlic, good blend of color and form. Well done.

Frances...cherry red and purple seem like odd bedfellows, but they really do compliment each other.

Nancy...The person who named that rose nailed it perfectly. I'm sure that's not easy to do, but that rose screams "KNOCKOUT."

Thanks for joining for bloom day again. I hope those roses smell as good as they look!

Your daylilys are way ahead of mine. Seeing yours makes me anxious for mine to start blooming.

Carol...Thanks for dropping by. I'm enjoying joining in and seeing everyone's beautiful flowers.

Lisa...They did seem to bloom a little early this year. I just moved them from a shady yard to full sun, so maybe that helped.
