It Feels Like Summer!!
The calendar says it's winter, but it sure feels like summer. With temps stretching into the upper 80's and humidity higher than normal, one can only wonder where winter is. Although I'm not complaining - it beats hauling plants indoors and worrying about the tropicals freezing back - a little touch of cooler weather would be a welcome relief.
Our orchids are definitely enjoying the feel of tropical warm breezes. They are basking in the rays of sunlight and blooming their little hearts out.

How did you get your Catt's to bloom? We purchased some at HD or Walmart about two years ago or so and are in coconut's. They are doing great, roots going all over the place, but no blooms. Every other orchid spikes, but not those. :(
Hi Misti,I hate to say this but we really don't do anything to them. I fertilize them once in awhile when I think of it. I give total credit to their location. They are under an oak tree and receive filtered sunlight. We just moved all of our orchids to this location and many that have not bloomed in years bloomed this year.
