Finally, the soft sound of rain gently falling could be heard again in our backyard. It has been so long since we've had a rainshower, and our winter-damaged plants and thirsty yards were desperate for a good dose of it. It is a miracle-tonic for grass, as I could see our neighbor's parched, unwatered grass turn a soft shade of green by the end of the shower.

I got soaked trying to work in the garden. Although we didn't get very much it was kind of misty all day. I kept thinking we would take whatever we could get. It is amazing how quickly the earth responds to that watery goodness. Glad you got some, too.
(The city just imposed no irrigation ban- NONE- thank goodness I'm in the county- we can still irrigate once a week-- the water shortage is really bad)

Susan...it is on the left side of your blog under FLOWERS FOR THE SOUL. Pink petals...similar to a fire cracker. I know it as a Jacobean plant or Justicia. I have also seen it called a Pine Burr Geranium. Here is a link to Floridata on it
