This is definitely not a common sight in my January garden. The tropical flowers of hibiscus blooming right along with the roses is a testament to the warm winter we're experiencing this year. If it continues for a few more weeks I'll be enjoying hibiscus blooms all year long. Oh, what joy in the garden!

I know what you mean.My garden is so confused and overgrown.I just hope we don't get a late freeze.
oh my! that is unusual - I find hibiscus the most rewarding plant to grow, and quite often take them for granted.
Hibiscus are wonderful. They will flower all year round here too if we have a mild Winter.
What a beautiful picture, Susan. It's crazy warm here too. We've got azaleas blooming, and our hot peppers and basil never froze back; they're still going strong.
Beautiful blooms! I am very grateful for each day of our warm winter weather here in central Florida . . . it's that much longer I, too, get to enjoy pretty, albeit unusual, winter blooms.
This has been a crazy winter. Just last night I was saying that we only needed a few more weeks of this warm winter to get a good jump start on spring growth. One night later, tonight, it's supposed to get down to the mid thirties. I just came in from covering up some of those "good to fifty degrees" exotic tropical plants that I can't resist growing. All in all.....A Great Winter!!
