Welcome to my zone 9 garden. My roots are deeply planted in the sandy soil of sub-tropical central Florida, where the summers are long and hot, but the rest of the year is paradise!

Such beautiful camellias and such a nice photo arrangement. I enjoyed meeting you and hope you were able to get a nice pineapple guava. The nursery is small but they do have some hard to find plants. I can't wait to get to planting my bodacious bounty of new plants! "I'm sure they will all grow well in my garden!"

Kimberly...You're right - they are romantic. They always remind me of the deep south.

Kay...I, too, enjoyed meeting you and Meems. It's fun to get together with like-minded folks. I'm sure your plants will do well in your garden - as will mind :) - and I look forward to seeing them in future posts. I'm glad the rain held out long enough for us. Have a great weekend.

I love camellias so much! (I'm sure you've noticed that if you read my blog.) It was my vote on Nell Jean's "romantic flowers" poll. And the ones in my garden have a beautiful scent to add to the pleasure.

Ami...Thanks, the pink camellia is just so soft...I love it.

Floridagirl...I guess I better get up close and sniff my camellias to see if they are scented, too. Pretty and scented...you can't ask for more in a flower.
